my resolution

2019 is year of the pig so I can't help but feel that 2019 is going to be one hell of a good year. Don't get me wrong I still think that hard work, determination, and a positive outlook are detrimental to success but its also really nice to know that it's finally pig year.

I created a list of goals that I would like to achieve by the end of 2019 for me personally and for Three Hungry Bellies.

The personal goals that I would like to achieve in 2019 are:

1.) Travel to at least two places. Currently, I am looking into France and Japan. One might be a solo trip and the other might be a THB trip! :O

2.) Take up ceramics. I took one summer long class when I was in middle school and remember loving it. Now that I'm really into food photography I want to make my own plates and bowls again. I am going to sign up for weekly classes that lasts from January - March at a place called Gasworks which is located in Brooklyn. If I really love it I might just continue my membership and make my own bowls!

3.) Make more friends. I know this is an odd one but I want to meet more people with similar interests as me. I have work friends, old friends, and family but now that I'm learning more about myself I want to meet more people who I can grow with. I tend to stick to my friends/family I know and not meet other people but now I'm working on pushing myself to get out of my comfort zone and talk to more people.

4.) Learn more about myself. I find that I grow more as a person when I learn things about myself. I find things that I love about myself and nurture that quality and I also learn things about myself that I don't like and try to kill the habit or fear that are causing my bad qualities. But in order for me to uncover these things I need to go out and experience life more.

5.) Say yes more! I can be a total chicken when it comes to certain things. Invite me to a party and Ill probably say no. So I'm learning to say yes to more people, things, and ideas.

I am an impatient person so I already started working towards most of my personal goals. But as you can tell a lot of the goals intertwine with one another so the big personal goal I'm getting at is to experience life more. The bad, the good, the weird, all of it. I'm ready to see what 2019 has in store for me.

The Three Hungry Bellies goals that I would like to achieve:

1.) Grow my following. Whether its my readership or my instagram following I would like to touch the lives of more people. Cooking was a big creative outlet for me growing up and still is. There are so many bakers, chefs, and cooks that have touched my life through their food and I want to do the same for someone else. I don't have a bunch of followers but I think posting really good content consistently and frequently will help my growth.

2.) Learn more about food photography and composition. I'm trying to find my own style while learning more about the world of food composition. Right now I'm learning the basics of using texture, colors, angles, etc to make my food look more appetizing. I want to continue to learn and make great photos and recipes to share with all of you.

3.) Find way to make money off of Three Hungry Bellies. I know that money isn't the best thing to talk about but it is a professional goal of mine. My dream right now is to be a full time food blogger/business owner and in order for me to do that for a really long time I need to find a way to monetize the content I create in a way that I can be happy with.

There they are! My goals for 2019 out in the world. I am very excited to try my hardest to try and accomplish them. Here we go...

My favorite appliances that help me create all my recipes!
Cusinart: It was a birthday present I got that I use all the time to make doughs, smoothies, sauces, & during the holiday it has a permenant place on my counter
Cast Iron: Comes pre seasoned, ready to use after a quick wash and makes some great eggs in the morning! Along with searing meats, toasting bread, & you can't forget corn bread!
Kitchen Aid: Literally a bakers best friend. It comes with a glass bowl so taking photos is a blast. Its really an investment but one worth making!
